Thaveesha Abhishek is a young, talented, top order batsman from Sri Lanka currently playing for Nondescripts in professional domestic cricket.
Thaveesha came through the set up of the coveted Galle Cricket Club where his talent was instantly recognised. He was selected for both the Test and ODI squad at U19 level in 2019/20 where he represented his country on 10 occasions, 2 of which in the U19 ODI Cricket World Cup.
He made his professional debut in 2019 for Saracens in a List A game facing up against multiple international players. The T20 debut came in 2021, and First Class debut in 2022 and Thaveesha has now become a popular choice for selectors in all formats at his current club Nondescripts.
Looking to take his batting ability to a higher level by playing in new conditions and also develop his off spin bowling, Thaveesha will be a tremendous asset to any club with his silky batting style and ability to find the middle of the bat on a consistent basis.
