Aditya Thakare is an Indian quick bowler playing for elite state Vidarbha at the highest level of Indian domestic cricket. Standing at 6 foot 5, Aditya causes a real problem for batters with his pace, bounce and strong ability to shape the ball on a consistent basis.
After progressing through the Vidarbha age group sides, Aditya made his first class debut in 2017 aged just 19. Shortly after, Aditya was part of the India U19 champions squad in the 2018 U19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
During the 19/20 Ranji Trophy campaign, Aditya picked up 21 wickets which included a career best 7-55, at an average of just 16.19. These impressive performances caught the eye of IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore who recruited Aditya as a net bowler for his quick, challenging bowling ability.
Aditya has hit the ground running in the 2024 Ranji Trophy season having already picked up 13 wickets in 2 matches at an average of 10.3 which saw Vidarbha to two wins.
The paceman would be an integral part of any club's bowling attack with his ability to break partnerships and take key wickets.
